I’m sat here writing my first post of 2015, (eek!) and what do I have to tell you? Nothing really, although I finally saw Hunger Games: Mokingjay Part 1 yesterday (which I must say is awesome and gripping as always). My New Year’s has been nice and chill, unlike my fingers which are warm and toasty thank you to my new best friend- Dyson Hot & Cool. My flat is no longer the cheaply built ice cave that it once was and has now been transformed to a warm tropical paradise- OK so that might be a bit OTT but I am finally warm!
I spent New Year’s with my sister drinking Lambrini watching cheesy TV trying to eat chocolate around two of the most (at times) annoying cat and dog. This morning we also discovered that the best time to shop is on New Year’s Day, the shops were dead which is a refreshing change to the utter madness that is Christmas shopping. What would this day off be without a good long walk with my best Roo? Today was a little nippy though but she did enjoy chasing the swans around Canoe Lake and chasing the pigeons too! Here’s to many other fun walks!
My New Year might not have been the most exciting to some people but I think the cliché thing we all like about New Year is the chance for a fresh start, the chance for wishes and the chance to better ourselves. We all make promises to ourselves to make this year better than the last and that, I guess, is the beauty of New Year. Here is a list of my resolutions and/or wishes for 2015. What are yours?
- Step outside my comfort zone often.
- Make new friends.
- Go on holiday.
- Believe in myself more.
- Go into paid employment.
- Spend less money.
- Make a difference.
- Try new things.
- Go to as many shows as possible.
- (And finally), To make this blog into something amazing.
Here’s hoping to a fab 2015 and I wish everyone a happy and successful new year.
Until Next Time
