About

Welcome to the blog!

What’s it about?

Well, to be honest I haven’t got just one answer for that!

I’m a 20-something media graduate living in Portsmouth, but what makes this blog different?

Well… me. I’m a straight-talking blogger who has an opinion on almost anything (like most of us) but I roll around on wheels! I blog about my everyday life – now, I make no promises that my life is in any way glamorous but if you’re nosey like me you may find it entertaining at the least! I blog about my life as a person with a disability, as a graduate, as someone with a cat and a dog, as an employer, as a tea lover and as someone who goes to way too many gigs and has a weakness for shopping!

The reason I started to write the blog is to tell people about what it’s really like to live with a disability right now—and not just the serious stuff like how it’s hard sometimes, but also the stuff some bloggers with a disability don’t tell you, like it’s pretty awesome going to gigs as you get good seats for the same price as the not so good ones! #lovinglife…

I hope the blog will inspire others (living with a disability or not) not be held back by a barrier in life but also that it is OK to moan –let’s face it we all do it even if it’s because our favourite TV show has ended or the fact that it is a bit crumby sometimes not being able to do something but you’ve either got to live with it and see the funny side or change it.

I’m not going to pretend I’m the next big motivational speaker or game changer but I do want to share my experiences of living an independent life with an entourage of PAs. Like me, the blog isn’t defined by disability but that’s what I was born with so it’s a pretty good starting block…

If you want to keep updated you can sign up for my newsletter. I’ll let you know when I write something new, and you can even choose what kind of things you want to hear about.
